The New York Times hires Raghavendran as editor of digital storytelling and training

Bina Ragwendland Joining New York Times The newsroom development and support team acted as editors for digital storytelling and training.

She started on September 27th.

Raghavendran joined from ProPublica, where she recently worked as an engagement reporter. Before that, she worked as a reporter for suburban and charter schools, and then as a school reporter for Minneapolis at Star Tribune.

She has also interned at the Seattle Times, Star Tribune, McClatchy and Cox Media Group in Ohio.

She is also a reporter for the Digital Bureau of the Capital News Agency, a news line running through the Philip Merrill School of Journalism at the University of Maryland.

Raghavendran is the head of the Young Professionals Network of the Asian American Journalists Association and a MJ Bear Fellow at the 2021 Online Press Association.

Raghavendran graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park.
