Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said that if Republicans can regain control of Congress in mid-2022, this will force President Joe Biden into political dilemma.
McConnell said at an event in his hometown of Kentucky that when control of the House of Representatives and the Senate can be contested, Americans will make “major decisions” in the midterm.
“Do they really want a moderate government? If the House and Senate return to the Republican hands, it doesn’t mean that nothing can be done.” McConnell says.
“What I want you to know is that if I become the leader of the majority party again, it is not to stop everything. This is to prevent the worst. This is to prevent the country from fundamentally pushing the country to at least my party thinks it is against the country. It’s not a good idea to say things in the direction. I can make sure that Biden promises to be a moderate,” he added.

McConnell will pledge to prevent Biden from accepting the Supreme Court nomination, just as he did to former President Barack Obama and his last nominee, Merrick Garland.
Republicans believe they can win control of one or both houses of Congress. The Democrats will have 14 seats in the Senate, while the Republicans will have only 20 seats. Republicans believe that their primary targets are Democratic Senator Rafael Warnock and Arizona Democratic Senator Mark Kelly.
The Democrats have a narrow lead in the House of Representatives with 9 seats, and all 435 seats are available for competition.
The American people expect the 50-50 Senate to take time to find common ground. This year, we have come together many times to take cross-party steps on serious issues.

Historically, the current president tends to lose at least one House of Representatives after serving in the White House for the first two years. It happened to the Clinton, Obama, and Trump administrations. If Biden wants to maintain control of Congress, he will have to fulfill more campaign promises.
If the president wants to hold Progress base He must pass a minimum wage bill of $15 an hour and sign an executive order to cancel a large number of Student debt -He promised these two points during the campaign.
Biden also faces criticism from left-wing activists for not taking enough measures to solve the problem climate change or Gun control. Failure to fulfill these promises could hurt him in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
