Viral TikTok Cucumber and Pepper Salad

This Asian Cucumber Salad recipe is my version of a recipe that went viral on Tiktok a while back. I watched the video and knew I needed to remake it. So, of course, I did!Except this version includes avocado for extra texture and creaminess as well Homemade Ginger Sauce from my cookbook.

It’s so good.

This salad is full of unique flavors, with a wonderfully fresh, crunchy texture, and just the right amount of spice. It comes together in just a few minutes, and the flavors linger on for seconds.

materials needed:

  • cucumber: You will need 1 large cucumber or 4-5 small Persian cucumbers.
  • Mini Bell Peppers: I use 1 bag, which usually contains about 12-15 peppers.
  • avocado: A traditional Tiktok salad, but I love the creamy texture it adds.
  • Ginger paste: i use mine Homemade Ginger SauceBut feel free to use any ginger paste you like – store bought or homemade!
  • All Bagel Seasoning: Adds just the right amount of extra flavor to salads. Don’t have this convenience?do it yourself DIY Everything Bagel Seasoning!
  • Chili Crunch Oil: I use 1-2 tsp. Feel free to add more or less depending on your spice preference.

How to Make Asian Cucumber Salad:

This Fresh Cucumber Salad Recipe is ready in under 10 minutes – veggie prep and more!

  1. Prepare the vegetables: Cut the cucumber into bite-sized chunks, dice the avocado, and slice the peppers.
  2. Make the dressing: Stir together your ginger dressing of choice.
  3. combine: Place all vegetables in a mixing bowl and sprinkle with Everything Bagel Seasoning, then topped with ginger paste and chilli oil. Stir gently to combine.

Preparing cucumbers for this salad really doesn’t help. Just cut them into bite-sized cubes!

No! I use either English or Persian cucumbers, both of which have thin skins and don’t need to be peeled.

If you are using another type of cucumber with a tougher skin then I recommend peeling it.

The key to keeping cucumber avocado salad from being soggy is adding the dressing just before serving.

If you are preparing the salad ahead of time, I recommend preparing the dressing but keeping it separate. When you’re ready to serve your salad, just drizzle over the dressing.

Tips and Precautions

  • Chop everything evenly. I recommend chopping both the cucumber and peppers into even sized pieces so they blend in nicely.
  • let it rest. For the best flavor, I like to let the salad chill in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes. This allows the dressing a little time to soak into the vegetables before bringing them together.
  • Don’t like spice? Just omit the chili oil.

  • 1 Bag mini bell peppers (about 12-15) slice
  • 1 ripe avocado diced
  • 1 batch ginger sauce homemade or store bought
  • 2 teaspoon Everything Bagel Seasoning homemade or store bought
  • 1-2 teaspoon Chili oil to taste, more or less as needed
  • Slice the cucumbers, peppers, and avocado and set aside.
