A mural commemorating George Floyd in Toledo, Ohio, was severely damaged, but local officials have not yet determined what caused its destruction.

When Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz talked about the destruction of the mural, he seemed unsure of the cause, but he was confident Freud’s memoriesYou will continue to be respected in this city.
“We may never be sure why George Floyd’s murals collapsed. This may be a natural act, or it may be an act of vandalism,” Kapszukiewicz said. “What we know is that the mural will be replaced.”
However, the Toledo Police Department told a local news media that the mural was struck by lightning and claimed that the Doppler radar at the station showed lightning strikes in the area.
At the same time, a city building Inspector, Hugh Cogan, Revealing that the damage may be caused by the deterioration of the wall. He pointed out that the inspector recently discovered that the middle of the wall had been bending.
“It’s just age. It just disappeared,” Coogan told a local media outlet. “It happened in older buildings.”
Despite the destruction of the murals, the city is still looking for new places where artworks can be displayed.
This mural is called “Give a Breath” and was created by a local artist named David Rose a year ago to commemorate Freud.
