Top 10 QBs in the 2021 NFL season

With the start of the 2021 NFL season, the league is full of excellent quarterbacks.Several foolproof Hall of Fame members performed as well as ever, and the signal caller who was just selected a few years ago was among them Most Valuable Player Candidate.

The depth of this position is too great, and many good players will be excluded from the top 10. Veterans Matt Ryan and Matthew Stafford can reasonably advance. Baker Mayfield and Justin Herbert may become Pro-Bowl quarterbacks this year.

If DeShawn Watson is not expected to miss most (or all) of the upcoming season, he will have to approach the top of any quarterback roster. When Drew Bliss retired, the league lost a top quarterback in the offseason.

The following is the ranking of the top 10 quarterbacks for the 2021 season.

1) Patrick Mahoms, Kansas City Chiefs

For three consecutive years, Mahomes has been the best player in the NFL. His 108.7 passing score ranks first in history. The 31-9 loss to Tampa Bay in the Super Bowl LV may be the first truly “bad” game in Mahomes’ career.

2) Aaron Rogers, Green Bay Packer

The defending NFL MVP is as good as ever in 2020. Rogers leads the NFL in passer ratings, completion rate, touchdowns and yards per attempt. No quarterback makes fewer mistakes than Rogers, who has the lowest professional interception rate in history.

3) Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Pirates

There is no point in waiting for his father to catch up with Brady. Just as Brady seemed to be about to enter the twilight of his career, he won his fifth Super Bowl MVP award. Now that he has spent a full year in the Tampa Bay system, the greatest quarterback of all time can provide better data in 2021.

4) Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks

Wilson is consistent. Wilson played in every game in all nine of his NFL seasons and ended the game with a score of 0.500 or higher. Wilson is the only quarterback who has had more than 30 touchdown passes each year for the past four years. He is a perennial MVP candidate.

5) Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

No one has made a greater leap in 2020 than Allen. The 25-year-old went from being one of the league’s least accurate quarterbacks to 69.2% passing 4,544 yards and 37 touchdowns. Even if Allen’s passing data has dropped, his average 520 yards of rushing and 8 games per year will make him one of the most dangerous passers in the league.

6) Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

Jackson may never reach the peak of his 2019 MVP campaign again, but he is still more efficient than most quarterbacks. Jackson rushed for more than 1,000 yards for two consecutive seasons, with a touchdown intercept ratio of more than 4:1. Jackson’s next step is to convert his success in the regular season into the playoffs, and he struggled in the playoffs.

7) Ryan Tennyhill, Tennessee Titans

In the Titans’ 26 starts, Tennyhill easily became the top 10 quarterback. Tannehill’s record is 18-8, with 55 touchdowns, 13 interceptions and a passing rating of 110.6, with 8.6 yards per attempt. It will be interesting to see how the loss of offensive coordinator Arthur Smith affects his production.

8) Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings

Since signing with Minnesota in 2018, the negative perception of Cousins is completely inconsistent with his performance. Playing behind an almost shaky offensive line, the veteran has a pass score of 103.6, passing 91 touchdowns and 29 interceptions as a Viking. Defense is Minnesota’s biggest problem in 2020, because the team ranks fourth in total offense.

9) Dark Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

Prescott threw 4,902 yards in his last full season and led the NFL’s No. 1 offense. Last year, before ending his season with an ankle injury in Week 5, he was expected to break the passing record. If Dallas’ offensive line returns to its original state, Prescott and the Cowboys will be difficult to stop.

10) Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals

Murray has shown significant improvement in 2020. If he hadn’t slowed down due to a shoulder injury, he could have had a better season. Although he did not achieve the MVP-style leap that some people expected, Murray still had a total of 4,790 yards of melee and 37 touchdowns. Two years after being selected in the first round, Murray has the talent to become a top 10 quarterback.
