After two years, the audience finally reunited with the Cody family in the premiere of the fifth season of “Animal Kingdom”. After the gripping season 4 finale, the TNT series will follow the family through their lives and criminal activities without Smurf.
Here are 5 questions to answer “Animal Kingdom” Season 5:
1. Why did Smurf leave her legacy to Pamela Johnson?
The Smurf (Alan Barkin) has a network of assets that she could have left to her sons and grandsons. However, she left everything to a woman named Pamela Johnson. J (Finn Cole), Pope (Shawn Hatosy), Craig (Ben Robson), and Deran (Jake Weary) have never heard of this woman and are not sure if she would pose a threat to their family business plan. Will the Cody boy discover why Smurf removed them from her will?
2. Who will replace Smurf as the leader of the Cody family?
Now that the Smurfs are dead, her son and grandson think they have the ability to become the leader of the Cody family and take her place. When the Smurfs went to prison, she made J the head of the family and taught him how to manage the family. Now, every Cody is determined to prove that they can take her place, but how far do they have to go to become the leader of the group?
3. Without Smurf, would the Cody family fall apart?
Although the boys often complain that the Smurfs have taken control of their lives and their share of money after the robbery, they now have no one to run their family business.
Even if one of them can declare himself the head of the household, there is no guarantee that the others will line up.
Executive producer John Wells had previously teased in an interview deadline.
“A large part of the animal kingdom world is the daily dangers our characters face in the lives they choose. We want the audience to guess in a way that still feels real about our character world. It is called the animal kingdom. The reason!” Wells explained.
“No one can live forever. I think an interesting conversation between writers is about the power dynamics of this family. What happens when power shifts? How will Buzz’s death change this family? How would the Cody boy survive without a mother? ? It will be interesting to see our characters grow or return in the face of this loss.”
4. Will the Pope eventually collapse?
in “Animal Kingdom” Season 4After that, Angela (Emily Danscher) tried her best to insert herself into the dynamics of the Cody family and manipulate the Pope, but the Smurfs never allowed her to get too close. However, after the death of the Smurfs, Angela managed to keep her place next to the Pope. Angela knows how dangerous the Pope is, but will her consistent manipulation push him to the brink of danger?
5. Will Adrian betray Derain?
After the police tried to blackmail Adrian to help them lock the Cody family, Derain and Adrian (Spencer Trick Clark) plan to escape together. Derain finally decided not to leave his family, but asked Adrian to leave the country. Then Adrian told Derain that he was the worst thing that had happened to him, and left. Did Adrian really leave, or did he intend to retaliate against Delan for breaking his heart?
Season 5 of “Animal Kingdom” will premiere on TNT on Sunday at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
