Two men arrested after CID restaurant shooting

Police are trying to unravel the chaos of a fight in a Chinatown International District (CID) restaurant that left two men injured.

At 12:30 a.m. on November 5, witnesses called the police to a restaurant in the 200 block of South King Street. When police arrived, witnesses told them that the two women had been arguing over an ex-boyfriend and that they felt light when a man started shooting.

Police reviewed surveillance video, which captured the following:

The video shows Woman 1 approaching Woman 2 while sitting at a bar. Woman 1 then attacked Woman 2, which caused a physical altercation. While Man 1 attacked Woman 2 from behind, Man 2 and Man 1 approached the two female subjects. Man 2 had a physical altercation with Man 1. At some point in the video, Man 2 and Man 1 are separated and Man 2 appears to be pulling a knife from his pocket. Man 2 attacked Man 1 from behind, apparently stabbing Man 1 in the back. A bystander then brought Man 2 to the ground and held him down.

Man 3 appeared with a gun in front of Man 2 who was holding a knife at the time.

Man No. 1 approached Man No. 2 as Man No. 2 was pinned to the ground, and Man No. 1 shot and killed Man No. 2 while Man No. 2 was lying on the ground. Man No. 1 then approached Man No. 3 as Man No. 3 left the building. Man 3 then shoots at Man 1.

Police arrested Man 1 and Man 2 and will be taken to King County Jail once they are treated and released from Harbourview Medical Center. Man 3 held a valid concealed carry permit and was not arrested, but his firearm was used as evidence while the investigation continued.
