Vanessa Bryant settled lawsuit with mother over unpaid work: report

Court documents obtained and!information It was revealed on Friday that the “whole case” between Sofia Urbieta and her daughter was “closed”. The terms of the settlement have not been made public.

Bryant and Lane did not respond to media requests for comment.

A few months after losing her husband Kobe Bryant and their 13-year-old daughter Jaina in a helicopter crash in January 2020, the mother of four was sued, which she called “shameful”.

Ryan claimed in a December 2020 document that her daughter allegedly owed her to the couple and their four daughters (18-year-old Natalia, 4-year-old Jaina, Bianca, and 2-year-old Capri)’s “long-term personal assistant and nanny” for unpaid work.

She claimed that she was owed $200,000, calculated at $96 per hour. TMZ Sports, This is the first settlement to be reported.

Ryan also claimed in an interview with Univision that when the late NBA star “committed to take care of” her for the rest of his life, Kobe abandoned her and kicked her out of the house. “She told me,’I need you to leave this house.’ She also told me she wants her car, she wants it now,” Ryan Say In Spanish.

Bryant denied her mother’s allegations and accused Ryan of extortion.

She said in a statement at the time: “My mother is continuing to try to find ways to blackmail a windfall from our family.” “I have supported her for nearly 20 years. She has never been my personal assistant or Kobe’s personal assistant, nor a nanny. I have always been a full-time mother, and my husband and I have been full-time caregivers for our daughters.”

Bryant added that Lane does not care about how the lawsuit affects her and her children. She claimed that her mother wanted to live on them for the rest of her life and continue to collect monthly alimony.

“My husband and I have never dissuaded or prevented her from supporting ourselves. This lawsuit is rash, shameful, and unimaginable harm. My husband has never promised my mother anything. He would have no sympathy for her behavior and lack of sympathy. My heart is very disappointed,” Bryant added.

Ryan fired back, claiming that she only wanted “things for which I worked.”

“Vanessa, although I promised her and her family and done everything for her, she has been trying to break all contact and breach all obligations and agreements,” Laine Say In a statement to US Weekly in December last year.

She continued to accuse Kobe of making “false statements” to her in an attempt to “maintain her reputation.”

“But this cannot be an excuse for her behavior,” Ryan insisted. “She knows the truth, she knows that I am their nanny. She knows very well that she has not paid the money I owe me.”
