Victoria’s Secret said on Monday that it plans to one day bring back its once-popular fashion show, but this time in a “culture-related way.” CNBC analyst.
The company focused on its renamed information to cater to many different body types. After mixed reviews on its last fashion show in 2018, the company wanted to reflect a new and improved image that the fashion show won The worst ratings in radio history. Victoria’s Secret soon decided to leave its parent company L-brand and restart it.
“We are not in a hurry to announce when or how…but we will redefine it in a culturally relevant way in the coming years.” Victoria’s Secret CEO Martin Waters said in a virtual presentation.
But he added, “Our goal is to return to the fashion show industry.”
The cancellation of the two-year show allowed the company to save money on new ideas.
“Historically, our marketing expenditures on fashion shows have been considerable, and we have saved this money in the past two years,” Waters said.
According to a CNBC report, the company hinted at investing in a digital entertainment platform that would allow women to celebrate all different body types. This is a huge change from the past few years when the “Victoria’s Secret Supermodel” was specifically called Number Zero.
Another example of the Victoria’s Secret rebrand celebrating different body types is that this lingerie company will completely get rid of its “Victoria’s Secret Angels” and replace it with a physically active brand ambassador.
Waters said that shoppers are expected to see large-size mannequins in stores soon.
