Someone contacted the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Department in Texas and reported that the 18-year-old Nekia Trigg was jumping in front of a traffic jam. Trigg is a resident of Forney, Texas.
When the seven-minute video started, a police officer named Kaufman County Deputy Connor Martin was lying on Trigg, and the women around screamed.
Trigg’s mother, 41-year-old Antanique Ray, told Martin, “You never have to beat her, okay? She will keep a low profile.”
Martin told Ray, “You need a backup. You need a backup.” Ray gently touched Martin’s hand and grabbed her daughter’s wrist. Martin began to scream, “Don’t touch me! Go back! Go back!”
Ray responded, “Calm down,” as the officer lay back on Trigg. Then, Ray started to hold Trigg’s hand, and Martin continued to fix Trigg’s wrist to the ground.
One girl called Trigger’s name and kept telling her, “Calm down.” Another exclaimed, “The temperature here is 102 degrees.”
Trigger, who was still under Martin, said: “I can’t breathe.” At some point, when Martin continued to hold her, she would vomit. The camera zoomed in and found a watery vomit covering her right cheek, and she had difficulty breathing.

Martin and another police officer then instructed Trigger to turn over. When she was crying, they turned her over and handcuffed her.
Then Ray screamed at Martin, “I need your fucking badge number and your name.” Then she noticed Martin’s body camera hanging on his shirt. She asked him why his camera was not correctly placed on his shirt when he pinned her daughter.
When the officer walked to a patrol car, the camera’s view was blocked by the officer’s body. Then Martin shouted: “Let go of her!” Twice before knocking Thunder to the ground in the middle of the street.
