What to watch on TV 1/23/18

There’s nothing quite like a good meal, a hot drink, and binge-worthy TV this time of year!
We’re always looking for something new to watch, and have stumbled across some great series and movies over the past month or so.
Here’s some of what we’ve been watching lately, and I hope it also gives you some ideas on what to watch next!

Netflix

kaleidoscope

Always loved this series! You may know Giancarlo Esposito from his role as Gus on Breaking Bad. In Kaleidoscope, he plays a character named Leo who, along with his newfound criminal friends, is trying to crack the most secure vault for the biggest payout in history.
Love this so much!

observer

A married couple moves into their dream home only to be threatened with a terrifying letter from a stalker signed “The Watcher.”
We’re not all that fussed about this series. It’s ok, but not one of the most exciting dramas we’ve ever seen! I was expecting it to be creepier than it was, and the storyline was kind of rubbish. I really don’t recommend you to rush to put it on!

man from toronto

A case of mistaken identity forces a bumbling entrepreneur to team up with a notorious assassin in hopes of surviving.
Kevin Hart always makes me laugh, he’s so funny. Woody Harrelson also stars with him, and they’re hilarious together.
Really enjoyed watching this.

Paramount+

tulsa king

To be honest, I didn’t have high hopes for this series at first, but after the first episode, I was totally hooked! It’s amazing.
Sylvester Stallone plays a mafia capo who, after being released from prison, is sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he starts his own organization, which is far from clean!
It’s action packed and has a great sense of humor! We’ve really enjoyed the series so far and it’s definitely worth a watch.

apartment share

Like this! It’s based on Beth O’Leary’s book The Flat Share. I love her books and have read many of them now. This movie is really good. I think they did a fantastic job of bringing the book to life. So if you’re looking for a watch that feels good, you’re going to love this watch.

Look

The hit series See with Jason Momoa is absolutely fantastic. Did I mention Jason Momoa is in it? Ha ha.
In a world without sight, society must find a way to live and survive. Everything changed when twin babies were born.
This is one of those series where after each episode you’ll want more! The characters are wonderful and the storyline is engaging, I highly recommend this.

Sky

Dragon House

We loved Game of Thrones and I was really sad when we came to the end, so when House of the Dragon based on 200 years ago came out, I couldn’t wait to start watching.
Just like Game of Thrones, there’s a lot of drama, family rivalries, and lots of action! We haven’t finished the series yet, but so far so good.
