According to reports, as of Thursday, Haitian authorities have arrested 17 suspects in the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse, including two American men.

According to the Associated Press, Joseph Vincent and James Solages, believed to be both Haitian Americans, were detained after the brutal killing of Moïse early on Wednesday morning. Both are said to be from Florida.

According to reports, 55-year-old Vincent is from Miami, and 35-year-old Solach is from Fort Lauderdale. Miami heraldThe newspaper reported that Matthias Pierre, the minister in charge of the elections in Haiti, had identified the suspect. According to reports, Solages is the youngest of all confirmed suspects, and Vincent is the oldest.
