Young Dolph’s partner Mia Jaye asked how to tell children “Dad will never go home”


Mia Jaye, a long-time partner of the rapper Young Dolph who was recently murdered in Memphis, talked about his death in a series of social media messages posted on Thursday.

“God gives me strength… Adolf, I love you with all my heart,” Jay wrote in a message she posted Instagram story.

In another article, she wrote: “The question is: How do I tell my child that Dad will never go home?”

Young Dolph, whose real name is Adolph Robert Thornton Jr., was shot and killed at a biscuit shop in Memphis on Wednesday. Before he died at the age of 36, he and Jaye had two children-a daughter named Ari and a son named Tre.

Memphis police are still looking for two suspects who opened fire on the rapper in Makeda’s Cookies store. Security cameras captured footage of the suspect leaving a white two-door Mercedes-Benz before the shooting.

“The suspect approached the victim when the victim entered the company and shot the victim several times,” Memphis police The department said in a statement on Thursday. “The suspect then fled the scene. No one was arrested. The investigation is ongoing.”
