Diego’s
Great brunch menu, whether you like traditional margaritas, bloody marys or cucumber Collins, their cocktails are delicious. Stuffed French Toast is heaped with caramel apples and bananas and filled with anchovy whipped cream. Perfect if you have a sweet tooth. Delicious breakfast people will love Diego’s Breakfast Torta, topped with spicy baja aioli that even makes the cardboard taste delicious. 11 Bowens Wharf, Newport, RI 02840
Nick on Broadway
This Providence favorite serves brunch Wednesday through Sunday. The menu features many delicious comfort foods and features many Rhode Island-grown ingredients. Don’t miss the buttermilk pancakes with whipped cream and granola! 500 Broadway Providence, RI
duck and rabbit
This place combines great food with a delightful atmosphere, giving you a lot to see while you wait. You’ll feel like you’re in a delightful little teahouse with gorgeous chairs and beautiful chandeliers. The first item on the menu has to be crepes. They have sweet and savory options. My favorites are The Chubby Elle (Nutella and Banana), The Mazzy Star (Portobello mushrooms, fontina cheese and truffle oil) and The Distinguished Lincoln (Ham and Gruyere with caramelized mustard). Um! 312 Wickendon Street Providence, RI 02903
Yangmei Beer Hall
Great place for a casual date or group gathering, maybe with just a single table or two. The rest are public. But don’t worry, somehow the person you end up sharing a table with is always super nice. This is a great place for families with young children. Local ingredients, servings sized for sharing, and a delicious menu ranging from kale caesar salad to chicken and waffles. 381 West Fountain St., Providence, RI 02903

Aquarium
If you want to go all out, you’ll love the Sunday Jazz Brunch at Ocean House. Located on scenic Watch Hill (yes, right next to Taylor Swift’s house), Ocean House is a beautiful seaside getaway with views of the Atlantic Ocean, as far as Block Island on a clear day. Sunday brunch is extravagant, with everything from pastries and raw bars to fresh made-to-order crepes. The menu is a fixed price for adults and children. Call ahead to book. 1 Bluff Ave., Watch Hill, RI.
Julian’s
With delicious, affordable food and a fun pop culture feel, Julian’s almost always requires a wait. But honestly, the food is well worth it. The menu is huge so even picky eaters can always find something. Their menu items are also creative and they have a cocktail called The Shirley Temple of Doom. Order one of their hashes, especially the cremini mushrooms and bosin. It’s crunchy and gooey perfection that dwarfs regular hash browns. I always order an Eggs Benedict too! Then again, anything you get will be delicious, so go on an adventure, or better yet share it with a group. 318 Broadway Providence, RI 02909
houseboat
While you can never go wrong with their raw bar – they have a great oyster variety – I love that they also have Croque Madame on their menu. If you’re particularly into New England classics, try their Lobster Rolls and Hall of Fame Chowder. Food, views and attentive service; you’ll love every minute of it. 227 Schooner Drive Tiverton, RI 02878
salty dog
With delicious Mexican food in such a cozy setting, I always feel so comfortable and unhurried in Perro. Try El Perro Domingo, a delicious scallion tortilla topped with egg and cheese or sticky ribs. The meat was flavorful and just fell off the bone. I would say order them to share, but if you have a huge group order multiples. Walking around is not enough! They also have delicious quesadillas with vegetables, braised beef or ribs. Oh, and double that on their jalapeno bacon noodles. 19 Charles Street Newport, RI 02840
Clark Cook House
A true Newport staple, enjoy brioche french toast and eggs benedict. Great for people watching, and if you’re lucky, you can inhale the salty air while sipping mimosas at the harbour front table. Don’t forget the oysters of course! 24 Bannister Pier Newport, RI
Stoneacre Bistro
Dining at Stoneacre won’t disappoint. The restaurant offers a seasonally changing menu made with fresh local ingredients sourced from local farmers, butchers and fishermen. Their creative cocktail menu and impressive wine list are not to be missed. The bar is spacious and feels spacious even in high season. A great place for a weekend brunch. 28 Washington Square Newport, RI 02840
