14 people were shot in Chicago over the weekend, including a 19-year-old National Guard member


Over the holiday weekend, more than a dozen people were shot dead in Chicago, including a 19-year-old member of the National Guard.

Early on Monday morning, two Chicago police officers sustained gunshot wounds while dispersing crowds in the city’s 15th police district. Both police officers were taken to John H. Strogg Jr. Hospital without life threatening.
