2024 Alternative Easter Gift Guide

As Easter approaches, thousands of Easter eggs are being snapped up. I always buy Easter eggs, but I also like to buy gifts that my kids can actually use or play with.
So I’ve put together some alternative Easter gifts that kids will love!

Easter themed games

We are big fans of Orchard Toys in our family. My youngest has autism and finds it difficult to focus. That being said, we found that he really enjoyed the games and puzzles because they were easy to pick up and, most importantly, fun!
Egg surprise It is a counting game with a rabbit theme. Spin the carrot spinner and select a bunny card with the same number as the number on the spinner. Turn over the card to reveal a number of eggs – the more eggs, the better! The winner is the player with the most eggs at the end of the game.

A new favorite from Orchard Toys is this adorable matching game, Peter Rabbit – Rabbit Race.
Join the mischievous Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Rabbit, Flopsy and Mopsy on an exciting exploration of digging under Mr. McGregor's vegetables and stealing his fruits and vegetables!
What I love about this game is that it's age-appropriate so the whole family can enjoy playing with these classic characters.

Magnetic brick set

Connetex Tiles provide hours of fun. This toy set contains 60 colorful rainbow pieces. I love how Connetix encourages little ones to use their imaginations and create something awesome.
They are also great for STEAM-based learning and help develop fine motor skills.
You can also continue using other kits to add to the playset. There are creative sets like this, transport sets, rolling ball sets, shape sets and more!
I do think this is my favorite as it's a great starter set for the series and the colors are so vibrant.

bubble bubble

What looks like a bubble but plays like a ball?that's amazing super bubble ball! You can throw it, kick it, catch it, hit it! This is a super fun activity to get kids away from screens and having fun outside.

Hot Cross Rabbit by Carys Bexington

The lovely folks at Quarto sent us this beautiful children’s picture book – Hot Cross Rabbit by Carys Bexington.
Meet Steve, a rather hot-tempered grumpy bunny, and his more active friend, Nugget, an adorable chick. Steve failed to make any chocolate eggs for the Easter egg hunt. What is he going to do?
At Nugget's instigation, he decided to make eggs his own way. Steve's attempt wasn't just a normal egg, but it hatched a… dragon! Chaos and drama unfold as dragonets rampage across town, devouring Easter eggs and leading to unexpected consequences!

Fun, rhyming text makes this a great Easter story, full of twists and turns, filled with laughs and super silly escapades.
