7 Ways to Balance Your Life


Dear readers, I hope you all had an easy summer and now everyone is back to their fall routines, including our kids. In education, my work revolves around children, both students and my own teens. Going back to work after a break and trying to get back to everyday life can be difficult for everyone, especially children. It’s also a stressful time for many. In today’s post, I wrote about 7 things you can do to try to live a balanced and peaceful life.

What is a balanced life?

We all lead lives where we try to balance our role in the family with our role in society. Many of us try to find a balance between work, family, social life, children, spirituality and civic duty. Working full-time, caring for children at home, caring for an aging family member, and finding inner self and peace, we are all on a journey to find balance. Many times we lean towards one side or the other, but the point is to stop and acknowledge the many responsibilities we all carry. A student’s main task may be to get good grades, but they may work part-time to earn extra money, a full-time working mom may try to dedicate 100% of her energy to a child who may be looked after by a babysitter or an education center, working from home ‘s dad may juggle family and her travel job while picking up the kids. The most important thing to realize is that each of us is trying our best to be the best we can be.

  1. Treat everyone with love, respect and kindness

Knowing that everyone is on their own journey, the first thing is to never judge others or compare yourself to anyone. You can never put yourself in someone else’s shoes, you can never understand another person’s state of mind, and you can never understand what’s going on in someone’s life. So love, respect and be kind to those around you and it will come right back to you.

2. Let go.forget and forgive

Learn to forgive yourself first. A lot of times we make mistakes, but what really changes everything is learning. Humbly accept your mistakes. Get in the habit of letting go of the little things, as they can cause unnecessary stress and anxiety. Know that things are not always in your control; the best thing you can give yourself is grace. Learn to forgive, and slowly you’ll learn to forget the little episodes that might keep you up at night.By forgiving and moving on, you are doing yourself a favor that will help you live a balanced and peaceful life

3. Live every day and every moment as it arrives. Instead of waiting for the perfect moment, make the gift as perfect as possible.

Living in the moment and waiting for the little miracles in life to happen can bring joy and balance. Living in the past or future can bring temporary happiness but also unnecessary sadness, so try to enjoy the present as it truly is a gift to yourself. Be hopeful and positive, and believe that good things are coming your way. You just have to believe and you are half won. Change your attitude to bring gratitude and humility to your life.

4. Accept joy and struggle as part of your life. Don’t be too happy or too sad.learn to balance life

This is hard for me. As human beings, it is our nature to be happy or excited about the good things in life. But realize that the good and the bad coexist, that the ups and downs are part of life, and that some inevitable crises in life lead to reflection and acceptance of the truth of life. Only by learning from it and not giving up can struggle make us stronger. With grace and support, bad days will pass and good days will come.

5. Pause, reflect and be grateful in your life

Don’t get caught up in life, whether it’s at home or at work, you’re just working and doing things monotonously. Learn to pause and practice mindfulness. Enjoy the little things in life. An attitude of gratitude makes you stronger and more hopeful.

6. Feed your spiritual self through a journey of self-discovery and self-realization

As a spiritual person, I have found inner peace by acknowledging the supreme power and knowing that I am not alone. No matter what religion or belief you follow, take a deep dive into how we as human beings have a spiritual experience to keep your life balanced and focused. Don’t hesitate to reach out to learn more. Or self-discover your path and destiny.

7. Find your support system

Remember, you are never alone. No matter what, be with those who care about you and love you. We are social beings and being part of a community gives us focus and direction. Learn to rely on people who help you grow. Increasing your civic responsibility may help you live a life full of humility and balance.

All in all, my 7 tips for living a balanced life include: treat everyone with love, let go, live in the moment, accept happiness and struggle, rest, grow spiritually, and find your support system. Loving, respecting and accepting others and acknowledging that struggle is part of the journey in life can bring balance and inner peace. An attitude of gratitude, living in the moment, stopping, slowing down, and surrounding yourself with your support system can help you grow intellectually and spiritually.
