Perhaps one of the most absurd claims of the past few years is that journalism is still a bastion against government tyranny, and its existence is to help maintain American freedom. On the contrary, the press has shown time and time again that they value the authoritarian statements of selected politicians rather than speak out for individual rights.
Yesterday, this was made clear again during the White House press secretary Jen Psaki’s press conferenceImagine that you are so radical and subservient to government power that you would actually beg the Biden government to exercise more power over you.
This is Yamiche Alcindor from PBS, maybe The most shameless and biased reporter In Washington, start to work.
Yamiche Alcindor of PBS asked @PressSec: “Can you talk about if [Biden] Are you worried that it may take too long for the CDC to issue the new mask directives and even vaccine directives that we have seen issued by cities such as New York… ” pic.twitter.com/5VVyoholGp

When even the non-scientific and overly conservative methods of CDC (for example, it does not support the efficacy of natural immunity) are not overbearing enough for you, maybe the US government is not your system? It doesn’t matter, the CDC does not have the authority to issue masks and vaccines instructions. This may be a detail you want reporters to pay attention to. However, Yamiqi is not. On the contrary, she is actually accusing Biden of not doing enough in the White House, which in itself is an exciting hint.
Then, when it comes to unvaccinated Americans, Kaitlin Collins of CNN works for a police state.
Kaitlan Collins of CNN asked Jen Psaki whether unvaccinated Americans should face penalties and be singled out because they cannot live the same lives as vaccinated people: ” Is the president in favor of restricting unvaccinated people in restaurants, museums, and concerts?” pic.twitter.com/ubgMedQV2Z

But remember, these people are vital to our country. They are here to defend your rights by telling the truth to the power and holding the government accountable (haha…sorry, I almost spit out the wine).
The reality is this: For the media, authoritarianism is the focus. But this is not just because they are eager to be told what to do by the politicians they blindly support while claiming that they are not biased. It is also about the impact or lack of their own lives.
Alcindo got her fat taxpayer subsidy check from PBS. She lives on the ring road and has suitable friends. For her, it doesn’t matter what happens to someone in Ohio or Texas. She felt completely unaffected by the consequences of any excessive government intervention, so she felt comfortable not only supporting it but also pushing it. Bad precedent? This is not important to her, because she believes it will never affect her. The same is true for Collins, who moved from the right-wing media to live completely in the CNN bubble.
In short, the press is not a valuable entity, it is necessary to maintain the Republic. Rather, it exists as a real threat to the rights and freedoms of individuals in the United States. If the White House violates the Constitution tomorrow and mandates COVID vaccination, these people will applaud like seals. When ordinary Americans need advocates to protect personal freedoms, even if some people think that decisions based on these freedoms are unwise, the media will not be present. On the contrary, when Alcindo and Collins made it very clear in their question to Psaki, reporters would sit aside and cheer for the government.
It’s not that you need to hear this from me to know it is true, but the media is not your friend.
