Today marks the beginning of Nancy Pelosi’s special committee on January 6. You don’t know that this major event is forgivable (I didn’t realize it until 20 minutes ago that I make a living by writing about politics) because no one outside the ring road has time for all the inflation and the backward economy.
One of the members of this committee is Adam Schiff. Pelosi is a recognized scammer and a long-term promoter of the Russian collusion scam, and he insisted that he participate in the “investigation” of what happened on January 6.Of course, we already know what happened (and Pelosi also has reservations), but creating a political narrative for 2022 is the focus, which will be the entire focus of the committee.
Yesterday, Schiff appeared on CNN with Anderson Cooper, perhaps to assure his critics that he is still the person he has always been. This is what he must say.
Rep. Adam Schiff claimed that if @GOPLader Kevin McCarthy once spoke on 9/11, “There will be no 9/11 committee. I would have tried to convince this country that it didn’t happen, or it was exaggerated.”

Schiff response Kevin McCarthy’s criticism Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger’s yesterday and McCarthy’s complaints that he was not allowed to seat the members he wanted (this is a normal procedure).
Somehow, Schiff sees it as evidence that McCarthy will forgive 9/11 and will not allow the committee to investigate the security breach that led to it. You know, shooting someone to death because of a three-hour melee and break-in by the police is exactly the same as a massive terrorist attack that killed 3,000 people.
This is stupid on multiple levels. First, it is incredibly offensive to downplay the deaths of those who died on 9/11 by pretending that what happened that day was no more serious to the legislator than a few hours of inconvenience. Secondly, the fact that Schiff’s committee does not intend to do what the 9/11 committee did is also worth noting.
For example, the 9/11 committee exists to criticize the failure of government agencies and make recommendations on how to resolve security oversights. This is obviously not the purpose of the committee set up by Pelosi on January 6. On the contrary, she and her accomplices completely confused the specific security failures that occurred in the Capitol, and instead tried to shirk political responsibility. This is why Pelosi asked a USCP official to tell a sad story instead of getting testimony from the USCP authorities about the reasons for the failure of the security situation. In view of this, Schiff’s comparison with 9/11 failed again.
In the end I will point out this person again Liz Cheney chooses team At the same time, she claims that she is operating according to principles. This is not any way of working. You can’t join a committee led by a dishonest hacker like Adam Schiff, led by Benny Thompson (he opposed the Electoral College in 2004), and then claim that you are trying to defend the Republic. Pelosi’s inclusion of Schiff made the committee completely lose its credibility to the point that it had any credibility. If Cheney really had any principles, she would speak out. Instead, she is taking advantage of her main speech period and burning down all her bridges. We will see how this affects her.
