This bill is the most significant investment in US infrastructure since President Eisenhower enacted the Federal Aid Highway Act in 1956. Despite repeated claims of “Infrastructure Week,” Trump failed to pass the deal. The Biden Biden Infrastructure Act includes $550 billion in public works projects, including bridges, highways, broadband, airports, power grids, water plants, and infrastructure to prevent cyber attacks and combat climate change. President Biden’s commitment to bipartisan cooperation is in stark contrast to Trump’s dismissive and hateful exclusion of all Democrats from legislative cooperation. Biden supports the ideology of the founding fathers of the two-party system. Trump’s war on bipartisan cooperation is just one of many signs that he is pursuing a form of authoritarian government to replace our democracy.
The United States urgently needs funds to restore its aging infrastructure. There is a high probability that Americans will die on our crumbling roads and bridges. There is an increasing need to create new, higher-paying jobs for Americans, and the infrastructure package meets this need. Improving broadband access in rural cities across the country will increase education and employment opportunities for people living in these areas. Although half of Americans refuse to believe that he won the election, Biden’s policies reflect the promise he made when he took office; “I will be the president of all Americans, not just those who voted for me.”
Most of Trump’s presidency has been a failure of policy and morality. In addition to lying about the dangers of COVID-19, which killed thousands of Americans in 2020, Trump has failed to reform healthcare as he promised, and has never come close to reaching a nuclear reduction agreement with North Korea. In addition to helping companies through tax cuts for the rich and reducing regulations, Trump’s only other achievement is to formulate policies for immigrants, minorities, and the LGBTQ community. Today, Biden proved his skills in the “art of trading” in a successful vote in the Senate, and exposed Trump’s skills in the “art of not trading”. In addition to Senator Mitch McConnell (Mitch McConnell), there are 16 senators who ignored Trump’s threats against their campaign in the primary election and voted for the bill.
If all Republicans unite, tell Trump that they are lost, and tell their voters that they are over with him, Trump’s power will end. Trump voters will not vote for Democrats, so Republicans can end the degeneration of the United States and the destruction of their reputation by uniting to make Trump irrelevant. Trump bullied the Republican Party into submission, but like all bullies, if you fight back, they will collapse. Trump’s “toxic masculinity” has attracted a large number of white male supremacists and fanatical evangelicals who betray the Bible. His policies and ideology were formed by catering to the ideologies of these extremist groups.
There has never been a former president of the United States publicly committed to demonizing his successor and working with his party to undermine all the legislation of the new government. Supporting Trump’s mission is to destroy all President Biden’s efforts to end the COVID-19 pandemic, rebuild America’s aging infrastructure, expand healthcare, eliminate racial injustice, and protect the voting rights of serving Republicans and the voting public It is the enemy of democracy.
For those who choose to worship this distressed, anti-American former president rather than loyal to our democratic norms, the consequences are inevitable. The number of Trump loyalists prosecuted, imprisoned, publicly betrayed, or financially bankrupt is increasing. The bipartisan vote in the Senate today shows that the Republican Party has a slight movement to get rid of Trump’s attacks on democracy and decency.
