But I want to talk about the one pushed today because it is just a symbol of the lies spread by the left Try to attack Governor Ron DeSantis.It involves Rebecca Jones, that woman Who accuses All kinds of ridiculous nonsense about COVID data.
Rebekah Jones is angry at DeSantis and his press secretary Christina Pushaw for undermining her claims.
So, she applied for an unfounded restraining order against Pushaw in Maryland, and then filed a second claim before the court review, claiming that she violated the first order. According to Charles Cook of the National Review.
Because the original order was completely absurd, the court rejected it on the grounds of insufficient evidence, but due to tedious bureaucratic reasons, it did not reject the secondary request-even though the request had been rejected and became meaningless. The order it is based on (and is set to be deleted from the case file at the moment it is resolved). Realizing that most people cannot understand the details of all this, Rebecca Jones spent several months pretending to have filed public criminal charges against Pushaw-of course, this is not the case.
This morning, the Maryland District Court dismissed the secondary case—as usual—for obvious reasons that Pushaw could not violate the restraining order that was dismissed for lack of evidence (and, as it turned out, she hadn’t even seen it).
But Jones did not complete his efforts to return to Pushau.
This morning, blogger Grant Stern (Grant Stern) wrote a report claiming that Pusho is facing criminal charges for these allegations and is in the process of reaching an agreement with state prosecutors to postpone the prosecution. He said this was what Jones told him. But of course this story is completely wrong.
As Lauren DeMarco, director of public affairs at the Montgomery County Attorney’s Office, confirmed to Charles Cook. DeMarco told him that none of these claims were true.
I asked DeMarco whether Christina Pushaw was accused of any type of “criminal violation of Maryland court orders” by the State of Maryland. DeMarco confirmed that Christina Pushaw did not. I asked DeMarco if the State of Maryland has filed any “criminal charges” against Christina Pushaw. DeMarco confirmed that it did not. I asked Christina Pushaw if he had reached a “plea agreement” or “delayed prosecution” agreement with Maryland. DeMarco confirmed that she did not.
Stern just did what Jones said, without confirming the actual situation.
But Pushaw had the final say.
