Fürstin Marie von und zu Liechtenstein The wife of the late Prince Hans-Adam II died on Saturday at a hospital in Grubbs, Switzerland, at the age of 81, the principality announced in a statement.The princess’s health has changed because of her Stroke The deterioration continued on Wednesday. According to the Principality, she fell asleep “in front of her family and after receiving the sacraments, calmly and with great trust in God”. The princess is considered to be very socially responsible and love art. Recently, she rarely appeared in public.
According to the court, Princess Mary was born in Prague, the fourth of seven children. When she was a child, her parents had to flee to Germany. She went to school there until she graduated from high school. After studying languages in the UK, she graduated from the School of Business Graphics at the University of Munich. She married Prince Hans-Adam II in 1967, and the couple had four children. She served as the chairman of the Liechtenstein Red Cross for three years.
The Principality of Liechtenstein is located between Austria and Switzerland. It covers an area of 160 square kilometers and has approximately 39,000 inhabitants. It is one of the smallest countries in the world and is very prosperous. The country is a hereditary constitutional monarchy. Among other things, the prince can dissolve the government and parliament and overthrow the referendum. Prince Hans-Adam II (76) handed over government affairs to his son, the hereditary prince Alois, who married Duchess Sophie in Bavaria in 2004.
