olice believes they have found a person they are pursuing in connection with the two murders Westminster.
The 49-year-old man is believed to be Lee Peacock and the police are trying to track him as part of the investigation into the murders of Sharon Pickles and Clinton Ashmore.
He was found on a canal barge on Ferrymead Avenue in Ealing on Wednesday. It is believed that he was seriously injured and believed to have caused it himself.
He was rushed to the hospital, endangering his life.
As part of the investigation, the police earlier released CCTV images of peacocks. He last appeared at North Wembley Station on the evening of August 19.
At 9:30 on the same day, the police received an address on Ashbridge Street in Westminster and found that Ms. Pickles, 45, was dead.
At 2:15 on Friday morning, 59-year-old Clinton Ashmore was found dead at an address near Jerome Crescent.
Both died from stab wounds in the neck, and there is a correlation between the two incidents. It is believed that Peacock knew the two victims.
Scotland Yard said in a statement: “Shortly before 17:55 on Wednesday evening, as part of an ongoing investigation, officials visited a canal barge near Ferrymead Avenue in Ealing.
“Inside, they found that a police officer had confidence in the 49-year-old Lee Peacock. On Thursday, August 19, in the investigation into the murder of two people in Westminster, he was listed as the person they were eager to find.
“The man was seriously injured and is currently believed to have caused it by himself. London Ambulance Service paramedics and London Air Ambulance received a call. The man has been taken to the hospital and his condition is believed to be life-threatening.
“The Metropolitan Bureau of Professional Standards has been informed that the incident has been submitted to the Independent Office of Police Conduct, and they have stated that they will conduct an independent investigation.”
