Mr. Macron will go on a day trip Dublin And will meet with President Michael D. Higgins and Taoisach Michael Martin And visit Trinity College and Guinness Enterprise Center.
It fulfilled part of Mr. Macron’s election pledge to visit all 27 EU member states, and Ireland is one of only four countries that has not yet been crossed off his list.
His itinerary first is to go to Phoenix Park. Mr. Macron will meet with President Higgins in Aras an Uachtarain in the morning to conduct so-called academic discussions.
Next, the French President will meet with Taoiseh at the government building and have lunch. It is expected that Brexit, the future of the European Union, Covid-19 and the continuing situation in Afghanistan will be on the agenda.
After lunch, the leaders of the two countries will hold a joint press conference.
Afterwards, Mr. Macron will visit Trinity College, visit the Long Room Library, and then have a dialogue with students on a series of topics.
He will then go to the Guinness Enterprise Center, where he will meet with Irish and French entrepreneurs in the facility and discuss the impact of the center on local development.
Finally, Mr. Macron will return to Aras an Uachtarain, where President Michael D Higgins will host a reception for him.
