We reported Earlier Near the crowded Kabul airport in Afghanistan, the terrible news now labeled as “suicide bombing” is said to involve “mass casualties.”
The Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby has just confirmed that there were mass casualties, although the exact number is not yet known:
We can confirm that the explosion near the monastery gate of Kabul Airport caused an unknown number of casualties. We will continue to update.

According to the latest report from Fox News, according to U.S. sources, 3—and possibly more—US Marines were injured in the initial attack:
