Gislain Maxwell “locks himself in the prison video conference room”

Maxwell The prosecutor said she held herself in a video conference room in the prison with a cart of legal documents.

Since his arrest in July 2020, the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s ex-girlfriend Maxwell has been awaiting trial in jail.

The 59-year-old man was accused of recruiting four girls for Epstein between 1994 and 2004.

Maxwell denies these allegations.

Since she was imprisoned, the British lady’s lawyer has complained about the “hard” conditions she suffered in the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center.

They claimed that her cell was full of untreated sewage and rodent feces, and said that every 15 minutes every night she would be awakened by a beam of light from the guard in her eyes.

Maxwell also posted a photo of her dark circles under her eyes, suggesting that she had also been beaten in prison.

The prosecutor said Maxwell Has been allowed to “bring a cart full of legal materials into the VTC Room Meeting”, but she “used that trolley to set up a barricade on the door of the room to prevent prison staff from entering the room”.

Audrey Strauss added: “Due to the security threat posed by the use of a cart to block the door of the VTC room, the defendant is no longer allowed to bring the cart into the room.”

She said Maxwell could “carry any materials she can bring into the room” and could travel multiple times to collect more documents.

Maxwell’s lawyer Bobbi Sternheim defended her client by stating that the state “cannot resist the opportunity to put Ghislaine Maxwell (Ghislaine Maxwell) in a negative influence while defending the Metropolitan Detention Center at all costs, regardless of the facts.”
