The situation in Afghanistan is very terrible. Among the criticisms, a Hollywood star condemned it.
First time for her Instagram postsOn Friday, Angelina Jolie condemned Washington’s fiasco in the Middle East.
She did not exceed her depth.
In 2001, the actress name UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees).
“Her interest in humanitarian affairs was aroused when she went to Cambodia to shoot an adventure film in 2000. tomb Raider,” The agency’s website explain.
Since then, her participation “as well as her determination to help the displaced, publicize their plight, and lobby for international assistance has never weakened.”
She understands Afghanistan:
Rear [her] travel [there] At the end of 2008, [she] Call for more international commitments to help returnees reintegrate into society, and urge more humanitarian support for the people.
“The courage, resilience and quiet dignity of returning to the family to rebuild life in adversity that few of us can imagine shows the best state of the human spirit,” she spent some time in Nangarhar Province in eastern Afghanistan. Said that there are nearly 850,000 20% of Afghan returnees who have been repatriated since 2002.
The actress posted an article on social media “Letter from an Afghan girl. “
She explained:
“[T]others [there] Are losing the ability to communicate and express themselves freely on social media. So I came to Instagram to share their stories and the voices of people fighting for basic human rights around the world. “
“Two weeks before 9/11, I was at the border with Afghanistan,” she wrote, “where I met Afghan refugees who had fled the Taliban. This was twenty years ago.”
Now she is sick:
“It’s disgusting to see Afghans once again displaced by the fear and uncertainty that looms over their country. It takes so much time and money, bloodshed and death, but it turns out that it’s an almost incomprehensible failure. “
Angelina Jolie is the only person in the world where no one will visit and recognize my country. Everyone was afraid of us at the time. Now she created an Instagram account to post this because what happened in Afghanistan came from a nightmare, Literally means terror. pic.twitter.com/8fDh7H72hy

Condemning the “betrayal”, Angelina on August 20th time:
Abandoning the idea of a peace agreement between the Afghan government and the Taliban, seemingly fleeing, after so many years of hard work and sacrifice, abandoning our allies and supporters in the most chaotic way imaginable is a betrayal and failure that cannot be fully understood.
She cares about those who stay:
I think of the wounded American soldiers I met at Ramstein Air Force Base — some of whom lost limbs in the fight with the Taliban — they told me they were proud to help the Afghan people gain basic rights and freedoms .
I think of every Afghan girl who took up a schoolbag to go to school in the past 20 years, even though she risked being killed—just like many people. In one area of Kabul, more than 100 people were killed in an attack on female students last year alone.
I think of Afghan women working as lawyers, judges, and police-even though their female friends and colleagues were killed in cold blood, the number of assassinations tripled in 2020.
I think of all Afghan children and adolescents living in fear of the future. As well as activists, journalists and artists in hiding, delete their social media profiles and burn files to ensure the safety of themselves and their families. Some people have to avoid sleeping in any place for more than one night like a fugitive.
I believe she really cares.
In addition to serving as the special envoy of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees António Guterres and Meet with refugees from more than 30 countries, Angelina Established And funded National Center for Refugee and Immigrant Children Helping young people seeking asylum in the U.S.
As you know, the situation in Afghanistan has deteriorated since Friday.
Red State Bunch Report Thursday:
Today is one of the darkest days the United States has suffered in the past two decades. It started with a suicide bombing and undermined the failed evacuation attempt in Afghanistan. The latest statistics show that at least 13 American soldiers were killed, of which at least 90 Afghans were killed, including many women and children.
For nearly eight hours, the President of the United States remained silent. The shocking thing is that even though the death toll has risen, we have not heard anything. There has never been any written statement expressing condolences for their deaths. The White House couldn’t even express sympathy quickly through Joe Biden’s Twitter account. Once again, it’s obvious that we don’t have a president at all.
As for Angelina, she is ashamed:
As an American, I am ashamed of the way we left. It weakens us. We have lost the influence that affects what is happening in Afghanistan now. We lack a strategy to monitor and support Afghan women and civil society. The Taliban have a history of targeting them-banning girls from going to school, keeping women at home, and imposing cruel corporal punishment on any woman deemed to have committed a crime, including public flogging. It has crossed the line. In addition to the record global displacement, we are also facing a new refugee crisis. Since May, nearly 250,000 Afghans have been internally displaced-80% of whom are women and girls. Our allies are uneasy and accuse the United States of a sudden unilateral withdrawal of troops for missing any chance of coordinating plans to preserve some of the results achieved in the country. If we want to learn from this dark hour, we must acknowledge and address these realities.
Usually, Hollywood seems to be a specious space. It is a pleasant change to see someone speak their own heartfelt thoughts.
Of course, such a scene pales in comparison to the terrible reality-as far as I know-she is absolutely correct.
From young Afghan girl letter:
“Before the arrival of the Taliban…we all went to work and school…we all have the right, we [were] Ability to defend our rights freely.but [since] They are here, and we are all afraid of them. We think all our dreams are shattered. “
