Three people were injured after a bicycle accident at a music festival in Cumbria.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Cavendish Park, Barro Cumbria police said that two women and one man were injured at 8.30 on Saturday night.
According to reports, two of them were hitchhiking at the time of the incident.
One woman is in critical condition, and the other two are seriously injured and are not believed to be life-threatening.
They were all taken to Furness General Hospital.
The incident took place at a local festival called Fudstock in the area, said a charity supported by the event.
The investigation is ongoing, and a cordon has been set up in the area.
The incident has been submitted to the Health and Safety Executive.
The charity St. Mary’s Hospice Hospital, for which Fudstock is raising funds, posted a statement on its website Facebook Page.
It said: “The St. Mary’s hospice management team is aware of an incident at the’Fudstock’ event on Barrow Island tonight.
“Although we are not directly involved in the organization or planning of the event, we do have some fundraisers and volunteers present on our behalf.
“We have kept in touch with them and the organizers of the event to provide any immediate support they may need. We will be happy to help them.”
