FNSS will showcase its newly designed SABRE 25 remote control turret (RCT) at IDEF 2021. FNSS designed SABRE 25 as a research and development project in 2018, with its own resources, and development without contractual constraints, taking into account the current and future security environment.
SABRE 25 RCT stands out as an effective system against armored combat vehicles and armored personnel carriers, as well as light armored tactical vehicles equipped or loaded with explosives. The turret provides effective and sensitive firepower for infantry and other friendly forces in the combat zone. SABRE 25 RCT is also an ideal system to supplement the firepower of the old generation of personnel carriers and armored combat vehicles in the life extension modernization project.
SABRE 25 RCT, this is the unmanned version of FNSS Sharpshooter and SABRE single-man turret. FNSS has been delivered to the military of various countries in large quantities for many years; it is a single-man, medium-caliber electric turret. SABRE 25 RCT is equipped with a 25mm double-feed automatic cannon and a 7.62mm machine gun, providing high firepower and striking performance, its optimized size and low weight.
The electric drive and fire control subsystems of the turret are completely designed by FNSS.
SABRE25 RCT expands the internal volume of the armored combat vehicle by not having an ammunition box. It incorporates the latest technologies in turret propulsion, fire control, survivability and firepower.
The main features of SABRE 25 RCT are:
- As an unmanned turret
- Since there is no ammunition box, it provides a volume advantage in the vehicle
- Small size and light weight
- The bulletproof level can be improved according to customer requirements
- High localization rate
- It has an open architecture (acoustic warning, laser warning and other sensor systems can be easily integrated into the turret).
