- According to reports, Abu al-Nile was shot in the clashes during the protests on Sunday.
- These demonstrations are said to have occurred near the border fence separating the Gaza Strip from the Jewish state.
The Territory’s Ministry of Health said on Saturday that a 12-year-old Palestinian boy who was shot by Israeli soldiers in the conflict with the Gaza border last week had died from his injuries.
The official Palestinian news agency Wafa said that Omar Hassan Abu al-Nile was shot last Saturday during a demonstration near the border fence separating the Gaza Strip from the Jewish state.
The Gaza Ministry of Health said in a statement that he was “because of his injuries.”
About 100 mourners attended his funeral in the afternoon.
According to the ruler of Hamas in Gaza, the riots on August 21 injured approximately 40 people, including a 32-year-old Palestinian man who died on Wednesday.
An Israeli policeman was also shot dead and is in critical condition.

The Israeli army stated that they responded with live ammunition and other measures to Palestinian “mobs” who threw explosives at the border fence and tried to expand the fence.
After the conflict, Israel carried out air strikes, allegedly targeting the weapons manufacturing and storage sites of the Islamic organization Hamas.
From Monday to Tuesday, Israel attacked Gaza again in response to the burning balloon that caused multiple fires in the Escohor area in southern Israel.
There were no reports of casualties in the airstrike.
There was also a clash on the border between Gaza and Israel on Wednesday, but the conflict was not as intense as Saturday.
An Agence France-Presse reporter said that new protests broke out on Saturday night, with Israeli troops firing tear gas and stun grenades when Palestinians burned tires.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza stated that 11 Palestinians were injured in the conflict and 3 of them were injured by live ammunition.
Several factions in Gaza called for demonstrations, especially against Israel’s blockade of coastal enclaves for nearly 15 years.
Also on Saturday, Israeli firefighters worked hard to extinguish the fire caused by newly launched burning balloons in Gaza.
Firefighters said in a statement that two wildfires broke out in the Eshkor area near the Palestinian enclave.

Hamas and Israel fought a devastating 11-day conflict in May. This was the worst conflict between the two parties in years and ended in an informal truce.
The Hamas authorities stated that 260 Palestinians were killed by Israeli airstrikes during the conflict, including fighters.
According to the military and police, Palestinian groups fired thousands of rockets at Israel during the fighting, killing 13 people, including one soldier.
In 2018, Gazans began a protest movement demanding an end to the Israeli blockade, and demanding that Palestinians have the right to return to the land they had fled or expelled from when the Jewish state was founded.
Since Israel killed about 350 Palestinians in Gaza in more than a year, the weekly demonstrations supported by Hamas were usually violent, but it broke down.
