A generation Previously covered Marine Corps lieutenant colonel Stuart Scheller (Stuart Scheller) was relieved of his position after asking the military’s leadership to take responsibility for serious wrong decisions made in Afghanistan. He spoke, knowing it might cause him to breathe a sigh of relief. He specifically pointed out the wrong decision not to retain Bagram Air Force Base to help evacuate.
As we reported earlier today, He said: “The era of baby boomers is over. I demand accountability at all levels. If we don’t get it, I will bring it.”
He obviously doesn’t think the military leadership has yet to admit it, so now, he goes one step further. He said he will resign from his position at the age of 17, which is shorter than 20 years for his pension and benefits. This is an incredible sacrifice, giving up a lot of the sense of security he won through his service-in order to gain honor, to promote accountability, if there is no support from others, at least he will support it.

I want to announce today. Seventeen years later, I am currently not waiting for legal proceedings. I can stay in the Marine Corps for another three years, but I think this is not the way I go. I will resign from my post in the U.S. Marine Corps, effective now. I am sure there are more administrators to explain what I should do, and I will solve this problem. But I have lost all rights to retire. I don’t want a dollar. I don’t want to take money from Virginia.
I don’t want any VA benefits. I am convinced that I am entitled to 100% rights. I, you know, have been smelling the smell and smoke of burning feces for years. I don’t want any of them. All I ask is to be accountable to my senior leaders. When there is an obvious mistake, I am not saying that we can take back what we have done. All I ask is for people to comment on what I said and say,’Yes, some mistakes were made if they did. I will not go back to ordinary employees, submit and complete what I want the next morning after I post the video, I start work, and my boss comes in and asks me, “What do you want to accomplish?”
This is a very difficult problem for me. My answer is that I want senior leaders to accept accountability. I think that their acceptance of accountability is more meaningful to service personnel and PTSD and to strive for goals than any other transparent paper or information. And I haven’t received it yet. Regarding the more than $2 million that I may receive after retirement for the rest of my life, no matter how severe the disability, I think this money should be returned to all senior generals because I think they need it more because when I finish what I will do, You will all need work and a sense of security.
“We will crash the whole fucking system. I am honored. You can ask any Marines who have served with me for 17 years,” Scheller said. “I dare you to ask all of them and find out what I am made of. We are just getting started.”
Is there any leader who can show half the character than this brave man? So far, they have not even reached the standard.
