When Joe Biden tried to talk about his “success” in Afghanistan, he had some talking points.
Including Two things he often said: Let’s get Osama bin Laden, let’s make sure that we won’t be attacked by al-Qaeda/terrorists from Afghanistan again. He said that we successfully achieved these two goals a long time ago.
But he voted against bin Laden’s arrest, and he was convinced that Afghanistan may now be more dangerous than before because the Taliban control the country. Before we left, we were attacked by terrorists, and there was a suicide attack at Kabul Airport. Now, this country will become a safe haven, not only a safe haven for the Taliban, but also a safe haven for Al Qaeda and the Islamic State.
Biden even lied and claimed that Al Qaeda had left the country. His own team had to refute him and say yes, al Qaeda is still in the country.
But perhaps nothing better than today’s image shows how empty Biden’s words are – because the United States has finally withdrawn after dealing with al-Qaeda for 20 years – to make Osama bin Laden the security chief. Come back now Under the protection of the Taliban, he was embraced by admirers to his hometown in Afghanistan. When we appeared on the twentieth anniversary of 9/11, it was a heartbreaking image, if any.

Less than two weeks after the Taliban took over Afghanistan, Osama bin Laden’s former security chief, Dr. Amin al Haq, returned to his hometown in Nangarhar. He was arrested. Pakistan was released after detention. Armed Taliban escort.

When he passed the Taliban checkpoint, he even gave a thumbs up. It seems that the Taliban are not the same as Al Qaeda, do they, Joe Biden?
According to Bill Roggio of The Long War Magazine:
Dr. Amin Haq, the former head of Bin Laden’s Black Guard, was filmed when a large convoy passed through a checkpoint in Nangarhar Province. Hack is accompanied by a large group of heavily armed Taliban fighters in a brand new SUV. A small group of people flocked to Huck, shook hands with him and took selfies with him.
The video of al Haq proves that al-Qaeda commanders now feel safe enough to make a public appearance in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.
Ten days ago, Biden said: “So far, all these affiliates from ISIS and Al-Qaeda and other countries are more dangerous than from Afghanistan.” That was when ISIS-K allegedly attacked and killed us. Of 13 soldiers and at least 170 Afghans before. He also seems to have forgotten that when they abandoned Bagram, he effectively released “thousands” of ISIS.
Blame the game!

Jake Sullivan tried to solve this problem for Biden, but it would only cause more trouble.
Question: Thank you, Jack. So, on Friday, the President said that we have eliminated al Qaeda in Afghanistan. On Sunday, the Secretary of State said that there is al Qaeda in Afghanistan. So, are you showing the president the whole picture, or is he just misusing intelligence when making these public statements?
gentlemen. Sullivan: The president is referring to al Qaeda’s ability to attack the United States. The intelligence community told us today that Afghanistan does not have this ability. Today, it does not exist in Afghanistan.
Now in Afghanistan, for our troops at the airport, it is a serious threat from ISIS-K, and we are working hard to deal with it. Of course, al Qaeda may rebuild external planning capabilities in Afghanistan.
This is why you have repeatedly heard from the President that a trans-horizon capability is needed, which will allow the United States to work with partners to continue to suppress the threat of Afghan terrorism from Al Qaeda or ISIS-K or anyone else, as we are in Yemen, Syria, Somalia, the Islamic Maghreb, and many other countries are trying to suppress the terrorist threat from Al Qaeda and ISIS.
Yes, no, that’s not what Biden said. Biden basically claimed no further threats. If there is a further threat, why should he withdraw his troops? But all this shows that, yes, Afghanistan will become a safe haven for large-scale terrorism, and they will have a lot of weapons we left behind to do this.
