An Ohio woman whose husband was hospitalized with COVID-19 won a court order last week to ask the Cincinnati Regional Hospital to treat her husband with his “prescription ivermectin,” which is an antiparasitic drug. For treating livestock.
Despite repeated warnings from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration, General Litigation Judge Gregory Howard in Butler County ordered West Chester Hospital to treat 51-year-old Jeffrey Smith with ivermectin.
The order was submitted on August 23 and will allow Smith to take 30 mg of ivermectin per day for three weeks.
According to reports, Smith has been receiving treatment for COVID-19 since July 9 and has been in the intensive care unit since July 15. He then received sedation, intubation and ventilator treatment on August 1.
Smith’s wife and guardian Julie Smith sought out Ohio doctor Fred Wagshul, who recommended Ivermectin.
The Ohio Capital Journal noted that her lawsuit identified Wagshul as “one of the most important experts in the use of ivermectin to treat COVID-19.”
Ivermectin has attracted attention after being supported by Senator Ron Johnson and Fox News celebrities Laura Ingraham and Sean Hannity . Some people believe that the drug can be used to successfully treat COVID-19, even if it is not approved by the FDA as a treatment and is considered toxic.

Wagshul believes that the use of ivermectin in COVID-19 is “irrefutable” and calls on the CDC and FDA to prevent it from being used to protect the FDA’s emergency use of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The lawsuit mentions how Wagshul became the founding physician of the Frontline Covid-19 Intensive Care Alliance, a non-profit organization that has no interest in the financial aspects of ivermectin.
