The princess-the late mother of the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex-was 36 years old when she was killed on August 31, 1997.
Nearly a quarter of a century after Diana’s shocked death, the statue commissioned by William and Harry — whose rift has been long-documented — was finally unveiled last month.
After making special arrangements in the historic Royal Palace to allow visitors to enter the cradle walk around the sunken garden between 3 pm and 5 pm to celebrate the anniversary, blessers can view the statue at Kensington Palace on Tuesday.
Due to the pandemic, the area is usually only open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday.
It is understood that William, Duchess of Cambridge and their three children-Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis-are commemorating this anniversary in private.
Diana’s loyal fans make a pilgrimage to the gorgeous Golden Gate of her former residence in London every year, leaving flowers and messages.
Diana is nicknamed the People’s Princess for her caring and open attitude. She is known for her loyalty to William and Harry, the breakdown of her marriage to the Prince of Wales, personal struggles and humanitarian charity work.
In 2021, the BBC wrote to the royal family to apologize for Diana’s famous “Panorama” interview in 1995.
The princess’s brother Earl Spencer Said that he “draws a line” between his heavy appearance on TV and her death two years later.
An investigation found that the BBC had covered up the “deception” used by journalist Martin Bashir to ensure that his headlines were exclusive to the world, and that he had forged bank statements.
In the show, Diana said that there were “three of us” in her marriage and questioned whether Charles was suitable for the king, which prompted the queen to urge Welsh people to divorce.
In a statement, William condemned the BBC, saying the interview contributed to his mother’s “fear, bigotry and isolation” in the last years of her life and undermined her relationship with the Prince of Wales.
Harry also criticized the company, saying: “The chain reaction of the culture of exploitation and unethical behavior eventually took her life.”

William was 15 years old and Harry was 12 years old. The brothers faced the arduous task of crossing the streets of central London behind Diana’s funeral procession in front of many mourners.
The couple’s relationship has been in trouble for more than two decades, and Harry now lives with the Duchess of Sussex in California, describing it as a “space”.
Their disagreement can be traced back to before Harry and Meghan’s wedding, when Harry was apparently angry that he thought his brother’s “snobbish” attitude towards Meghan, after William questioned whether he should rush to have a relationship with the former suit star.
The Sussex couple later accused the royal family of racism in an interview with Oprah and the system of not helping Meghan when she had suicidal thoughts.
William is said to be “angry” that private family matters have been brought into the public domain.
This year’s anniversary coincides with the paperback release of the unauthorized biography “In Search of Freedom.”
The book said in a new epilogue that, among other things, it is understood that several members of the royal family were “very happy” that Meghan was away from the funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh because they “do not want the circus”.
Harry will publish his memoir in 2022-this will also be the 25th anniversary of Diana’s death and the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The Windsor couple vowed to write an “accurate and completely true” description of his life.
