The new London-Edinburgh train service offers cheap tickets for £15

In the first few weeks, Lumo will operate four flights a day between London King’s Cross Station and Edinburgh Waverley.

By the first quarter of 2022, this will increase to 10 services per day.

The company’s goal is to transport more than 1 million passengers on the eastern coastline each year.

It hopes that 100% electricity service will incentivize people to travel by train instead of flying between the UK and the Scottish capital.

Helen Wylde, Lumo’s managing director, said: “Traveling in the UK shouldn’t cost a lot of money, and certainly shouldn’t be the planet paying for it. No matter which mode of transportation you prefer, we may be more affordable and environmentally friendly.

“We believe that everyone has the right to travel in a stylish way. We enable people to make truly affordable green travel choices without compromising comfort.”

The new business will seek to provide customers with cheaper prices than they pay for other services.

Lumo said that up to 60% of the one-way fare will be £30 or less.

In contrast, the lowest one-way fare to Edinburgh is £14.90, while the highest fare is £69.

The cheapest round-trip fare for Lumo is £29.80, while the most expensive one is £139.

From October 25 to December 1, all tickets snapped up the day before the trip will cost passengers £19.90 or less.

The plan for the next ten years is to create more than 13 million additional passenger journeys and contribute up to 250 million pounds to the British economy.
