Dr. Mike Tildesley, a member of the Scientific Pandemic Influenza Modeling Team (Spi-M), told Sky News: “I think it’s clear that if the NHS is under tremendous pressure, if the death toll sadly starts to increase, then of course, obviously, there may be discussions. Do you need more restrictions.
“I hope that through a very successful vaccination campaign, the idea of a winter lockdown still has a long way to go.”
