Canada donates nearly 2 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine to Uganda-National

Canada donated nearly 2 million doses of Moderna Coronavirus disease According to the United Nations, vaccines are provided to Uganda.

She added: “We especially want to thank the Canadian government for providing timely and important support to COVAX to make this possible.”

The Canadian Department of Global Affairs (GAC) confirmed that this is Canada’s first donation to Uganda through the COVAX facility.

“Canada is committed to taking a comprehensive and global response to this epidemic. We are working to ensure that all countries in the world have access to the COVID-19 vaccine,” GAC spokesperson Jason Kung told Global News in an email statement.
