Galahad Kiko Martinez suffered a devastating knockout defeat due to the loss of the IBF World Featherweight Championship.
Galahad was brutally prevented in the sixth round, and the Spanish veteran won the championship at the age of 35.
Fighting in his hometown of Sheffield, Galahad was in control for the first four rounds, but he was knocked down by a strong right hand in the fifth round.
Martinez then ended the sixth round with another cruel right hand.
Promoter Eddie Hearn said that he will now consider the possibility of a rematch.
“I can’t believe what I just saw,” he said. “This is the most amazing thing I have ever seen on the boxing ring.
“This is a one-sided struggle. It was defeated, a master class. One punch changed everything. Wow. That was a cruel right-handed end.”
On the hole card, Terri Harper lost her WBC Super Featherweight title because the American Alycia Baumgardner won an amazing fourth-round knockout victory. This is Harper’s first loss in his career.
