The device testing status and web-based submission process has accelerated the eligibility of more and more LoRaWAN devices to enter the market.
Senet, Inc. today announced enhancements to its IoT Marketplace, making it easier for solution providers, system integrators, and application developers to identify IoT devices that meet LoRaWAN network business operation quality standards.
To support the growing demand for LoRaWAN solutions, including proven sensor-enabled IoT devices, Senet implemented hierarchical device status designation, indicating the level of testing completed on its network. This test assures end users that the devices listed on the Senet Marketplace comply with the LoRaWAN® standard and will produce predictable and reliable results when deployed on a large scale.
This status indicator illustrates Senet’s strict equipment testing process, including pre-join behavior, joining scenarios, adaptive data rate, data rate fallback, uplink retransmission, uplink channel utilization and downlink capacity, and Generate a detailed compliance test report, and submit the equipment to the company for testing.
Senet’s new market Device status name include:
- G: The device has passed the general connection test on the Senet network
- Evaluate: The equipment is tested in Senet’s laboratory
- Senette recommends: The device has been tested and/or deployed by Senet
“Many times, the implementation of IoT devices is not properly tested, leading to field failures, costly replacements or abandoned projects. These avoidable situations undermine one of LoRaWAN’s main value propositions, which is that 10 to 10 years can be achieved without physical intervention. 15 years of terminal equipment life,” Said Bruce Chatterley, CEO of Senet.
“As the LoRaWAN ecosystem continues to evolve, the Senet market is becoming a central hub for end users to find the latest equipment and solutions. To support this growth and further eliminate barriers to entry, we continue to welcome manufacturers who wish to cooperate in equipment certification and promotion Business and solution provider submit comments.”
Simplified device test submission
Senet has tested hundreds of LoRaWAN devices, from smart water meters to asset trackers, environmental sensors, waste fill level monitors, temperature and humidity sensors, pest traps, building sensors and more.
In order to simplify and accelerate the eligibility of more and more devices to enter the market, Senet implemented a new web-based product submission process. It can be used by equipment manufacturers who want to expand the market, shorten the sales cycle, and promote products through Senet Market submission form.
Equipment manufacturers working with Senet benefit from the qualified operation of the largest and most densely deployed public carrier-grade LoRaWAN network in the United States. Senet is currently deployed in more than 29 states, covering more than 1,300 cities, serving more than 55 million people, and processing millions of transactions every day.
