What’s the problem with Americans voting for candidates who believe in bizarre theories that indicate abnormal thinking? Has the United States become so polarized that people would rather vote for the mentally incompetent than cross partisan boundaries? Demonization does not belong to anything or anyone on Trump and his MAGA agenda and is dangerous to the safety of many people. Republicans have normalized violence against anyone who opposes Trump. The Republican Party has become a domestic terrorist movement, threatening the survival of our democracy by replacing government norms and the rule of law with conspiracy theories.
In a September 3rd article by Kevin Roose, the New York Times summarized QAnon as “a group of Internet conspiracy theories that falsely claim that the world is controlled by a group of pedophiles who worship Satan.” Per Roose, ” QAnon Followers believe that the cabal includes top Democrats such as Joseph R. Biden, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and George Soros, as well as Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks and Alan DeGeneres and many other entertainers and Hollywood celebrities, as well as religious figures such as the Pope Francis and the Dalai Lama. Many of them also believe that in addition to child molestation, members of the organization will kill and eat the victims to extract a life-prolonging chemical called adrenaline. ” Anyone who doesn’t think these statements are crazy is crazy.
The followers of QAnon have begun to infiltrate Congress and win seats in the far-right regions. These people are lured by far-right information and ignore the psychosis of these weird candidates because they support the rights of the Second Amendment and anti-abortion legislation. Anyone who believes in the QAnon conspiracy theory has no place in the US Congress. To vote for these people with character defects or mental impairments to public office puts the rule of law described in the constitution at serious risk of being destroyed. Psychiatric thinking will lead to an unstable and violent government, which will cause great suffering to all Americans.
The Republican Party is now the QAnon Party, which promotes violence, conspiracy theories, hypocrisy, loyalty to Donald Trump, white supremacy, voter suppression, and authoritarianism. Their leader is MAGA and QAnon extremists. They act aggressively against colleagues, ignore the rules and regulations of the House and Senate, and defend the certification process for mobs trying to steal Joe Biden’s legitimate democratically elected president. Known to be enemies of law enforcement, the Republican Party showed no support or sympathy for the Capitol or Washington, DC police who protected them during the riots. Instead, they defended Trump mobs like Chansey, calling them patriots, and mocking the trauma that officials like Michael Fanone are still suffering nearly a year after the attack. Fanone is a DC official who suffered a heart attack and brain damage when he was attacked during the Trump “Patriot” rebellion.
Minority leader Kevin McCarthy is a poisonous opportunist. The first thing he did as speaker was to get QAnon loyal supporters Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar back to the committee that they had been removed for granted. I hope the committee on January 6 will nail him to something so that he will not pollute the House of Representatives with corrupt opportunism.
