Design/function comparison Mi Band 6

The Redmi Smart Band Pro is very similar to the Mi Band 6 launched a few months ago, but has a different-shaped display.
Xiaomi has a 1.56-inch AMOLED display with an operating resolution of 152*486 and a brightness of 450 nits, while its display is 1.47 inches with an operating resolution of 194*368.
The size of Xiaomi is 47.4 × 18.6 × 12.7 mm, while the size of Redmi is 42 mm × 24.45 mm × 10.15 mm. The wider display makes it more like a watch than a strap.
Both devices have a rubber strap fastened with a button hole. During my use of Redmi, this is one of its most annoying features. It is quite difficult to try to secure the straps tightly in place for exercise.
These devices have some subtle functional differences. Redmi has more than 110 fitness modes, while Xiaomi only has 30. For me, I feel that the number of patterns does not matter. The functional difference between the modes is very small, just a name. Once you cover the basics, everything else is just filling in the numbers.

Xiaomi seems to provide 24/7 SPO2 monitoring, while Redmi only switches to automatic and nighttime.
Redmi has a larger 200 mAh battery and 125 mAh battery, but their rated use time is 14 days.
Health tracking
Its health tracking function is excellent, with a good sensor array. You have a 6-axis sensor (low-power 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope), PPG heart rate sensor with SpO2.
Features include:
- Step count / calories / standing time
- Heart rate all day-low/high/RHR
- Blood oxygen-manual measurement and/or automatic night measurement
- Stress tracking
- sleep
Most health tracking features have elements you may want to enable or adjust. These will affect battery life, but will provide a deeper understanding of your health.
For example, you can enable night SPO2 measurement, advanced sleep tracking, increase the sampling time of heart rate throughout the day, and enable pressure throughout the day.
Since the battery life out of the box is very good, I am confident that all functions will be enabled. I’m not sure how useful an all-day heart rate with a sampling time of 30 minutes is, so I will reduce it to 10 minutes or less (I set it to 1 minute)
The overall accuracy of health tracking seems to be good; most things match my Garmin Fenix 6 Pro, which is more than 10 times the price.
Fitness tracking

Redmi phones do not have built-in GPS. When you see the GPS signal activated on the watch, it is trying to connect to the phone GPS. Therefore, you need to ensure that it can perform this operation with your permission. Ideally, you will always allow Xiaomi app location permissions, not just when you use the app.
You can start tracking activities from the app itself or the watch. I usually use my watch, especially when I put my phone away while running.
For running, you can get a lot of data, including your pace, heart rate, number of steps, active calories, altitude increase and decrease, heart rate zone, average stride length and average cadence.
The app will also calculate your Vo2Max. Like most wearables, its accuracy is debatable, but if you pay more attention to the direction of digital movement than the number itself, then it works well.
Other features
Like most smart wearable devices today, you can choose a variety of watch faces. Some are stored locally, and some are available for download. I am as practical as possible, so I tend to use one of the utility displays, which displays all the core statistics.
Prices and alternatives
The Redmi Smart Band Pro is currently only available in the UK from Mi.Com, priced at 44.99 pounds, shipping is 4.90 pounds, and the price is 49.89 pounds.
The strange thing is that Xiaomi/Redmi phones are not easy to find, there is no link to buy directly from Mi.com, and it is not listed on any third-party website such as Amazon. I found a direct link through Google Shopping. You can buy it here.
Mi Band 6 is currently priced at £46 on Amazon
The suggested retail price of Huawei Band 6 is 60 pounds, but the Black Friday discount is 35 pounds.
Honor Band 6 is currently priced at £40
overall
Redmi Smart Band Pro is an inexpensive fitness tracker. Since it is very similar to Mi Band 6 in terms of function and price, it is difficult to recommend one. I may choose any device you like based on its appearance.
Similarly, compared with Huawei/Honor alternatives, there is not much difference. In this case, I may stick to any brand you are familiar with.
