Design and features
Although the Uben E62 multi-function flashlight looks a lot like the previous model (E61), it is actually quite different.
There is a metal pocket clip and a rubber-covered button on the top of the E62, which are used to control the flashlight function and double as a status LED when the internal flashlight battery is charged. The W (five books) on the button will emit a very faint red light when charging, and turn blue after charging.
On the other side of the pen, you will see a row of 5 LEDs and a micro USB charging port protected by a rubber cover.
The nib of the Uben E62 multifunction penlight is actually no A pen. This is a tip for a glass breaker. Unlike E61, the tips are not interchangeable. You can only use the glass breaker tip, in my opinion, it is useless in 99.99% of the cases.
E62 has functions that other pens don’t…Built-in folding knife.
The knife uses a No. 11 scalpel blade, and the E62 comes with 5 additional blades.
The blade unfolds from the main body of the “pen” but is not locked in place, which is a bit worrying. It stays open under some friction, but it is not very safe.
Uben E62 multi-function flashlight has a built-in 120mAh lithium polymer battery with a battery life of up to 15 hours.
Pressing the button on the pen will turn on the flashlight at the last lighting mode/level.
The lowest brightness is 3 lumens, the medium brightness is 30 lumens, and the highest brightness is 130 lumens. When the light is on (any level), you can double-click the button to put it in beacon mode, which will flash red and blue LEDs like a police car light.

Final thoughts
I am a little disappointed with the Uben E62 multi-function flashlight, because it lacks some of the E61’s favorite features, such as a built-in pen, the ability to adjust the angle of the flashlight, and a built-in magnet. However, if you are only interested in pen-style knives and flashlights, then you might like the Uben E62 multi-function flashlight. As long as you don’t mind paying $50 for it, I think it’s a bit expensive.
