information – Like many preteens, mine stopped wearing winter coats by the time they were in middle school. No matter how cold the weather is, a hooded sweatshirt is the most they will accept. Last year, in the midst of my mother’s angst, I spent about $100 on a big-name workwear hoodie for one of them…they lost it within a few weeks.
I happened to be at Walmart this fall when I came across a shelf. Wrangler utility full-zip sherpa-lined hooded sweatshirt.
Like their more expensive cousins, they were advertised as workwear, sherpa-lined hoodies. But the price is a fraction of the cost; the full price is $28. I decided to give it a try.
Surprisingly, my son is almost indistinguishable. He’s particularly happy with the phone’s inner pocket (why not all Hoodies have one of these? ) and front hand warmer pockets that are tight enough to keep your stuff from falling out.

They are really warm and comfortable and even have a waterproof outer fleece. I immediately bought more so the whole family could have one.
I never thought I’d say this, but I actually don’t mind my guys not wearing winter coats this year because these hoodies are pretty much the same (shh, please don’t tell them).
The best part is they’re only $18 right now Walmart.com
The sweatshirts are available in black, olive, charcoal and three browns in sizes as small as 5xL.
