LFP or LiFePO4 stands for Lithium Iron Phosphate and was invented in 1996.

For all the science buffs, its anode material is LiaC6, cathode material is LibFePO4, and the carrier is Li+.

How do lithium iron phosphate batteries work?

LFP batteries basically consist of the following components:

The formula for calculating LCOS is as follows:

LCOS = Upfront Cost / (Total kWh Capacity x (DoD %) x Cycle Life)

As we saw when calculating LCOS, Bluetti is by far the cheaper option in the long run because LiFePO4 technology has a much longer lifespan than both Li-ion and NCM.
