Now Thermacell introduces Thermacell LIV Smart Mosquito Repellent System for your backyard.
This interconnected repeller system allows you to place the repellers exactly where you want them (20 feet from each other; the range of each is a 10-foot radius around the repellers), and can also be connected to Your home WiFi – although this is not required. It works in conjunction with the LIV+ app, allowing you to turn the system on or off, set system schedules and monitor remaining repellent levels. The system even works with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can voice activate the system.
The system comes with a hub, repeller, 24 feet. Cables, standard brackets and ground stakes (hardscape mounts sold separately). You can purchase a 3-drive (945 sq. ft.), 4-drive (1260 sq. ft.), or 5-drive (1575 sq. ft.) starter kit. Each hub can control up to 5 repellers.
To install the LIV system (see Installation video on YouTube), you can install the hub within 6 feet of a GFCI outlet about 30 inches or more from the ground to avoid water or snow, and within WiFi coverage of your home if you plan to use a system with WiFi.
The system consists of modules called repellents that you can place around your backyard at 20-foot intervals (each repellent repels mosquitoes in all directions within a 10-foot radius). You can use ground stakes to insert each repeller into the ground, or use standard mounts to screw them into decks or use hardscape mounts to set them up on patios such as pavers, concrete, etc.
Each repeller connects to the other using 24-foot cables that can be buried, covered, or tucked into crevices to prevent damage to the mower, prevent tripping, and more. Only the first repeller needs to be connected to the hub (the system does not form a loop).
After installing the system, you’re done! You can leave it out all year. The repellent in each repellant is designed to last over 100 hours (if you consider a 12-week season, the repellent can be used for 8 hours per week in that season before replacing the repellent cartridge ). If you forget to shut down the system, it will automatically shut down after six hours.
