A generation Realme GT 2 reviewed Back in February and was pleasantly surprised by this. The phone isn’t a massive upgrade from the original Realme GT, but its camera is a big upgrade.
Realme takes the same approach 50 MP Sony IMX766 sensors are used in other BBK electronic brand mobile phones. This includes the OPPO Find X5 Pro, OnePlus 10 Pro (for ultra-wide) and one plus north 2.
It’s a great sensor, and it shows that Realme is starting to up its game when it comes to photography.
On my recent trip to Porto, I brought Realme along with the Find X5 Pro I’m reviewing and my main phone, the Pixel 6.
I won’t try to claim that the Realme GT 2 is as good as either of these phones, but I want to show that Realme has improved enough things that the GT 2 is a viable option for anyone who loves taking pictures s Choice.

The difference between an affordable flagship phone and a high-end flagship phone is obvious. Both the Realme and the Pixel 6 have only one notable camera. Find X5 Pro has a flagship ultra-wide-angle camera sensor.
The Pixel 6 Pro has an impressive zoom lens, and the Realme GT 2 Pro has a 150˚ ultra-wide sensor.

I ended up not using Realme as much as I had hoped, so not as many comparisons as I would have liked. I only get two phones out a day, so I’m sticking with Realme vs Pixel.
Nothing to do with the camera, but one thing I don’t have, the display on the Realme is much better. I should have taken a comparison photo during the day, but the Realme is easier to watch in sunny weather.
The main camera on the Realme GT 2 does a fantastic job. No, it’s not as good as other phones, but I doubt many regular users will notice or care that much. I think low-light performance is excellent, something Realme has struggled with in the past.
I can happily use it as my main phone (though I’ll probably get a Pro), and I’m a little regretful about buying the Pixel 6. I still love the Pixel, but the fingerprint scanner is driving me nuts and I feel like the Tensor isn’t performing as well as I’d like it to be.
