On May 16, Similarweb announced that it had acquired SEO and rank tracking company Rank Ranger.
This enables the Tel Aviv, Israel-based digital intelligence provider to offer term rank tracking alongside its keyword research and analytics tools.
With cross-search engine capabilities, the combined forces of these companies are designed to provide search professionals with better insight into traffic-driven keywords.
Purchase Enhances Similarweb’s SEO Capabilities
The acquisition, terms of which were not disclosed, means Similarweb users will now be able to monitor, track and report on keyword rankings over time.
The combined capabilities of this merger should allow search professionals to quickly identify ways to increase traffic and generate better returns on their search investment.

Founded in 2009, Durham, North Carolina-based Rank Ranger has software tools designed to help businesses take advantage of free and paid traffic opportunities.
This includes monitoring progress and the ability to measure, optimize and report on specific strategies.
Integrating these capabilities into their daily workflow enables search professionals to respond quickly to changes in search engine rankings, whether it’s competitor content or market trends.
