Bananas contain melatonin, tryptophan, vitamin B6, and magnesium, all of which are great for producing serotonin and helping you fall asleep. Pistachios contain more melatonin. Pistachios are also rich in vitamin B6, which helps convert tryptophan into melatonin.

- 1 cup water, coconut milk (not canned) or almond milk, unsweetened and carrageenan-free
- 1/2 medium banana, optional frozen for a creamier smoothie
- 1 tablespoon walnut oil or 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
- Ice, to add to a blender or pour the shake over ice, optional
- Crushed pistachios or cocoa nibs on the rim (optional)

Blend water, milk, bananas, and walnuts in a blender until smooth.
Add ice cubes and blend on the highest setting for 15 to 20 seconds until pureed. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
