These are the best doormats ever!

I never knew I could be so passionate about doormats, but when you live in a place where it snows a lot and then it’s mud season, these things bring joy. Once it was added, I immediately started looking for the best doormat because I wanted to protect our brand new Sawyer Mason Floors. We have two huge sliders to the deck and backyard, and two dogs that go in and out of those doors all day.

After a late night search and breaking into the nearest LL Bean store I found the Waterhog mat. I ordered them about two months ago and they are a complete game changer. LL Bean comes in tons of designs, colors and styles, the hardest part is narrowing it down. I read on the LL Bean website that they use Waterhog doormats at their flagship store in Freeport, Maine. Therefore, they are large enough to handle the annual footfall of 7.5 million tourists! Read on to learn everything you need to know about Waterhog mats.

Water Pig Doormat

water pad Made in the USA from recycled polyester. They are naturally stain and mildew resistant and will not peel or fade. The mat is made with a rubber backing so it is non-slip and does a great job of keeping surfaces clean and dry. Raised rim helps contain water up to 1 1/2 gallons per square yard. They are incredible door mats that keep dirt, mud and moisture out of your floors. You can also use them both indoors and outdoors.

For the space in front of the slider, we chose Recycled Waterhog Mats 3 x 6 feet in Trees design. I went back and forth on the colors but finally settled on naturals as they are bigger and I wanted them to blend in with the floor. I was really impressed with them, especially when we tracked wet snow and dumped all the soggy gear when we got indoors. They are excellent at protecting our floors and suck up dust, dirt, sticks, etc. very easily. When I ordered the pads it said they would take a few weeks, but after showing up at my door a few days later! I am really touched.

Everyspace Recycled Waterhog Doormats and Gaskets

At the front door we have Water Pig Doormat. I love the tree design because it fits Vermont so well. I chose the bluestone color for that room because of our furniture and rug. It’s a super absorbent doormat that locks in all the grime we bring in from outside. We also have runners on the front of the bench and hooks for storage. It greatly reduces the amount of dust and dirt that enters the house.

They’re really easy to clean, we usually vacuum them up, but they can even be rinsed off with water! Waterhog rugs come in a variety of attractive colors, designs and sizes and are made from environmentally friendly recycled materials. Compared to other doormats, I found the price to be very reasonable as well. Overall, I definitely recommend them if you are looking for a strong and durable doormat to protect your floors.
