For the first major renovation in the store’s 40-year history, Tiffany selected renowned architect Peter Marino for the interior design, and OMA New York/Shohei Shigematsu to direct the renovation and three-story roof addition. The “Crown Jewel of New York” shines again, with 10 floors of stunning artwork from Damien Hirst, Julian Schnabel, Anna Weyant and more. Jean-Michel Basquiat’s “Equals Pi,” Tiffany’s “Equals Pi”about loveThe 2021 Beyoncé and Jay-Z ad campaign is now front and center on the ground floor of The Landmark, attracting visitors entering the store from Fifth Avenue.

Elsewhere, a video wall turns views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline into moving art, and a crystal-embellished spiral staircase oozes Elsa Peretti inspiration. Glass cases filled with sparkling jewels line the main floor, while above, a faceted skylight that stretches nearly the length of the room pays homage to Tiffany’s diamond heritage. Seasonal food of course includes “breakfast at tiffany’s,’” found at The Blue Box Cafe™ by Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud. Landmark is part of a larger luxury investment trend in the region. Fifth Avenue brand Saks Fifth Avenue Saks is undergoing a $250 million renovation of its flagship store, while Rolex is redesigning its Fifth Avenue headquarters. Hermès’ new flagship store will debut on nearby Madison Avenue in 2022.
Luxury group LVMH In 2021, Tiffany will be acquired for US$16 billion, and sales will increase from 3 billion euros in 2020 to 5.1 billion euros in 2022, and are expected to reach 7.4 billion euros in 2025. LVMH’s Louis Vuitton, Bulgari and Dior are all part of this Midtown mecca.
